منطقه آتابی (آتابیگ) و قلعه اتابکان
در ابتدا به این مساله باید اشاره کرد که واژه آتابی یا آتابیگ لقب احترام برای خطاب کردن بزرگان و پیران دربار سلاطین ترک بوده است . منطقه آتابی یکی از مناطق محبوب برای کوهنوردان و طبیعتگردان ماکویی است که با توجه به بررسی ها محدوده این منطقه فقط به قلعه اتابکان و چشمه آن محدود نمیگردد و تا انتهای خط الراس کوه قیه و منطقه جارکش (جایی که با صدای بلند افراد را مطلع میکنند) منتهی میگردد .
Atabey area (Atabig) and Atabakan castle
First of all, it should be mentioned that the word Atabey or Atabig was a respectful title of the elders in the court of Turkish sultans. Atabey area is one of the popular areas for mountaineers and nature walkers, according to the surveys, the county of this area is not limited to the Atabakan castle and its spring, and to the end of the ridge of Qayeh mountain and leads to the Jarkash area (where they loudly inform people )
Atabey Daglari
ظاهرا سابقه منطقه به حکومت اتابکان آذربایجان و پایتختی تبریز ، نخجوان و همدان بوده است برمیگردد (رجوع به طبقات سلاطین اسلام صص 153 – 154)

این مکان محدوده مناسبی برای کمپ های شبانه است که محیطی آرام و امن دارد ، هر چند مسیر برای حمل ملزومات شبمانی کمی طولانی و کسل کننده است ولی از آرامش خاصی برخوردار است . این مکان دید وسیعی به شهر ماکو ندارد و فقط کمی از شهر قابل مشاهده است . آلودگی نوری در آسمان این منطقه بسیار کم است و من همیشه برای عکاسی ستارگان و کهکشان راه شیری در این منطقه کمپ میکنم
This place is a suitable area for overnight camps, which has a calm and safe environment, although the route to carry overnight necessities is a bit long and boring, but it is very peaceful. This place does not have a full view of Mako city and only a little of the city is visible , There is very little light pollution in the sky in this area and I always camp in this area to photograph the stars and the Milky Way
